I recently had a great conversation with a buddy of mine who just so happens to be a GREAT professional poker player (he has taken my $$$ plenty of times) and it got me to thinking...can poker tendencies and men relate??? And I say yes...this is what we came up with
1. He literally pushes up his sleeves. This gesture at the poker table means a guy is prepping to take a big risk. If your guy does this right before a convo, he's ready to take a gamble with you as well. It could be something big, like meeting the parents, or something small, like suggesting you stash a hair dryer at his place ;)
2. You notice his Adam's apple moving. When a guy's dealt hand is bad he'll gulp because he's anxious. If you catch him doing this, its a sign he's nervous about what he's going to say, whether it's good (like those three little words) or not so great (he's canceling a date).
3. He keeps his hands busy. A man who's sitting on a royal flush doesn't want to give away his secret, so he'll toy with something on the table to create a diversion. If he's fiddling with things at dinner, he is probably excited about something--like a job promotion or a romantic getaway he's planned--and is waiting to drop the news
